The Islamic Network presents a lecture tour by Imam Afroz Ali entitled
Gratitude: A Prophetic Virtue.
Imam Afroz Ali is an Islamic scholar who has invested considerable time learning from the most esteemed ulema of the age.
Amongst his teachers are Habib Umar Bin Hafith, Shaykh Murabit Al Hajj, Shaykh Abdullah bin Baya and Shaykh Hamza Yusuf.
He has taken studies at the following institutions:
- University-based academia (the Islamic University in Madina, Saudi Arabia)
- More traditional studies in Yemen, the United States and Mauritania.
- He has received licences to teach from some of the most esteemed Islamic Scholars of our time.
- He has also traveled to Cairo, Egypt for further studies in Islamic Jurisprudence with Scholars at al-Azhar University
- He is on the Board of Advisors at Markaz Aleem in Cairo, Egypt.
Founder of the Al-Ghazzali Centre for Islamic Sciences and Human Development, Imam Afroz also conducts corporate training on a range of the following subjects including:
- Team building
- Personal Leadership
- Change Management
- Business Strategy Development
- Corporate Ethics
He also utilises his corporate training skills to mentor and train community organisations in the following:
- Community Sustainability Programs
- Personal Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
- Spiritual Development
- Goals Setting.
Imam Afroz is also founding member of the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change, Australian National Crescent Sighting Coordination Centre, the Ansaar project, recipient of the International Ambassador for Peace award and is an Australian Ambassador for the Charter for Compassion. He has initiated philanthropic as well as sustainable environment projects in Australia and abroad, and continues to advocate for peace, acceptance, justice and interpersonal rights.
Imam Afroz has recently been appointed as a senior lecture at the highly successfully & respected online Islamic academy, SeekersGuidance. He is also on the Seekers Guidance Management Team as the Managing Director.
